Remodeling Carpenter

The right candidate is someone who:   

• Has remodeling experience.  

• Has years of experience following code, reading plans and problem solving unique residential and light commercial remodeling projects.   

• Enjoys a fast-paced environment with ever changing projects.    

• May feel like they have advanced as far as they can in their current position and is excited to move on to the next step with helpful education and training.   

• Is motivated when working in a team and independently.   

• Has supervisory and quality control experience.  

• Able to delete tasks. 

• Open to being a mentor. 

Carpenter Job Requirements and Responsibilities:  

• Understands and interprets specifications, ability to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.  

• Framing walls, floors, roofs/trusses.  

• Installs windows, exterior doors, door hardware, & siding. 

• Follows & enforces established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.  

• Builds, installs, or repairs cabinets, doors, floors, temporary support structures, or other wooden fixtures. 

• Understands and has experience with structural selective demolition.  

• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props temporary support structures. 

• Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repairs or replaces material. 

• Inspects ceiling or floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect damaged or damaged structures. 

• Moves necessary materials around jobsite as required.  

• Maintains Work Area free of accumulation of waste material and rubbish.  

• Understands that a happy customer and a project completed on time means teamwork and a production mindset as key.

Westring Construction LLC embraces the concept of the “Peter Principle”, we will encourage growth within the company until we see a stopping point at which time we will offer more training or education to continue to help you grow.  We are family oriented, respecting our team’s time with family.    

Our regular working hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm with a half-hour mandatory lunch.  On Fridays we expect half days to reach 40 hours or more if overtime work is available.  We do not guarantee 40 hours.    

We offer health benefits, 7 paid holidays annually and 2 weeks of PTO on an accrual basis.
